Barnard Theatre Department and The Harriman Institute

The Barnard Slavic and Theatre Departments, in conjunction with Columbia University's Harriman Institute, present Václav Havel's adaptation of John Gay's The Beggar's Opera. The production - featuring actors, large puppets and live music - culminates a city-wide festival of the complete plays of Havel, organized by Untitled Theatre Company 61. Music performed by Chicha Libre .
The Beggar's Opera is co-directed by Amy Trompetter of Barnard and Sergei Zemtsov of the Moscow Art Theatre School.
